80 South Street
--New York--
Designed by Santiago Calatrava

At 251 meters (342 m spire), it is not the tallest building going up in New York, but definitely one of the must unique. It was announced last year, approved a few months ago, and is slated for construction later this year.

The most amazing thing, though, is that it will only have ten units. The first two cubes will house cultural institutions, and the next ten will hold one residence each. The building will have 55 floors.
